Public Access TV Show

Hello, everyone.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything; been busy working on getting my show off the ground.

We had our first taping of Beyond the Shadows last week. The segment won’t air until April 2020, but if you go to the Cox website you can view it there. Here is the link:

Beyond the Shadows

Once on the site, click on Enfield Program Schedule, then type in Beyond the Shadows in the search window. The show is a half hour. My guest is Sheila Rivest, who talks to me about her work with domestic violence as a result of her sister being shot and killed by her estranged boyfriend.

Tomorrow we tape our next segment, which will air in February. The guest will be Karen Jarmoc, CEO of CT Coalition Against Domestic Violence. I am doing a 3-part series on domestic violence, followed by segments on child sexual abuse and domestic minor sex trafficking, then other topics related to abuse and sexual assault.

We will not be publishing the show’s website (www.beyondtheshadowstv.com) until January. Once it’s up and running you’ll be able to visit the site for videos of the show as well as bios of guests, hotline numbers, website links, articles and more. We will have a section of the website dedicated to poetry and song lyrics written by trauma survivors. If you would like me to add your poetry or lyrics, please email them to me at beyondtheshadowstv@gmail.com. Please include them in the body of the message, as I choose not to open attachments from an unknown source.

Hope all is well with you all. Take care.
