Hello, everyone.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. I’ve been busy working on several projects, the latest of which I am very excited about.
I am producer and host of an upcoming public access TV show (still working on a title), which will focus on issues of child sexual abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence. It will be a half-hour talk show—taped live—with guests from various fields and expertise as well as individuals who are survivors and guests who are helping others to heal.
Topics will range from living with PTSD, date rape and consent, alcoholism/drug addiction and eating disorders among survivors, LGBTQ+ sexual assault, legal issues, sex trafficking, sexual assault and abuse among the elderly, alternative healing modalities, the impact of sexual trauma and violence on spouses and family members, pregnancy/abortion issues as a result of incest/rape, and more.
I will be seeking interns to run cameras, graphics, audio, and technical directors when school begins in September. Looking to start taping in October. There will be one show taped per month which will be aired at different times throughout the month. The videos will be available on the http://www.patv15.com website for anyone with an internet connection. I will also be creating a website and email address for the show.
I already have more than twenty individuals and organizations eager to be guests—one to three guests per show, which means I have episodes for more than one year. It’s only the beginning. I’m hoping that the show will evolve to cover not only the topics I’ve mentioned, but other important issues that affect individuals, communities, and beyond.
I will keep you posted as things progress.
This is fabulous! I’m so proud of you, Barbara. 🙂
