I had a great time at my new book’s reading/book signing at the Enfield Public Library! Great turnout by friends and the general public – many who are survivors or know people who are survivors.
It was a wonderful group of supportive and inquisitive people who were interested in me telling my story and learning what it’s like to live as a trauma survivor with post-traumatic stress disorder. Great Q&A/discussion session.
Four women came up to me and told me a little bit about their survivor stories. One woman asked me if I would be interested in facilitating a “coffee hour” group for survivors (she knows several). One woman asked me if I would be willing to meet with her, her daughter, and her daughter’s friend – all are survivors, and one woman asked me if I would be willing to give a presentation at a trauma center. I enthusiastically said YES to all!
I feel so honored and humbled. I am truly blessed to be on this journey.

Beautiful! So great that you made a connection with people who participated. That’s what it’s all about isn’t it? Connecting with other people and helping them know they (and you) are not alone.

It was such a special night for me. I met wonderful, brave, strong women who are on their own paths of healing. I’m looking forward to meeting with them and helping them on their journeys. I am truly blessed.
